Development Service for Afghan’s Rural and Urban Organization (DSARUO) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that works for humanity in need, with focus on women and children and is formally registered with The Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan in the year 2011 working in various fields of, Wash, Agriculture, Education, Training, Shelter, Protection, Health, Hygienic Programs, Gender Equality, Humanitarian Assistance and Emergency Relief. Development Service for Afghan’s Rural and Urban Organization (DSARUO) provided humanitarian and development services for both urban and rural population of Afghanistan with selfless dedication and passion and with complete attention and concentration, attended by many influential and well-intentioned people of the time. Job Description:

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Master Trainer in Agriculture to develop and deliver high-quality training programs for agricultural professionals and farmers in Nangarhar, Kama District. The master trainer must have a strong background in agricultural practices and education, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse farmers. Responsibilities include creating training materials, conducting workshops, and integrating fertilizer training and water management system into the curriculum. If you are passionate about agriculture and possess the expertise to educate and inspire others in this field, we encourage you to apply.

Job Requirements:

1.Create comprehensive training materials and sessions covering agricultural strategies, crop management, fertilizer instruction, and crop water management.

2.Provide detailed information on the selection and application of organic and synthetic fertilizers, with a focus on ecologically acceptable and cost-effective soil fertility management strategies.

3.Incorporate precision agricultural training, such as the use of technology for exact fertilizer delivery, soil mapping, and yield monitoring, to maximize resource usage and reduce environmental impact.

4.Enable farmers to make informed decisions about soil testing, nutrient management, and balanced fertilization through discussions and practical exercises.

5.Collaborate with local communities to discover their specific agricultural difficulties and provide specialized training courses that meet their individual needs and expectations.

6.Encourage community engagement and ownership of sustainable agriculture techniques, as well as local information exchange and farmer-to-farmer learning networks, to improve community resilience and production.

7.Include sessions on market access, value addition, and entrepreneurship in the training curriculum to provide farmers with the tools they need to diversify their revenue sources and increase their economic well-being.

8.Coordinate with leaders from the community, local governments, and non-governmental groups to generate connections and support systems that contribute to the social and economic growth of agricultural communities.

 

Key Skills and Competencies Required: 

  • Must adhere and comply to PSEA rules and guidelines.
  • Sensitivity to gender issues.

Other Desirable Requirements:

  • Proven experience in agricultural training, education, water management and fertilization with a strong understanding of agricultural principles and practices.
  • Good command of English and fluency in Pashto & Dari, both written and spoken
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Ability and willingness to travel and stay in field locations
  • Previously received training in PSEA and anti-fraud and compliance
  • Must be willing to accept and comply with code of conduct of DSARUO
  • Comply to reporting allegation in Sexual harassment in workplace
