About Union Aid:

Union Aid (UA) was established by a group of Afghan philanthropists and social activists in July 1979 in Peshawar, Pakistan. Union Aid was serving Afghan Refugees and host communities living in/around refugee camps through various projects in three main sectors; health, education and skill development. UA has been providing basic health services through hospitals, Basic Health Units (BHUs), labor rooms, provision of prosthetic limbs and first aid trainings. UA facilitated Afghan Refugees in education sector through providing formal basic and higher education, skill development programs for men and women, literacy centers and scholarships.

Union Aid is actively providing regular support in humanitarian & development sectors such as, Healthcare, Nutrition, Education, Scholarships, Technical Vocational Education Trainings, Family Support Programs, Emergency Response and Support, Livelihoods, Food Security, Shelter, Construction/Rehabilitation of community level infrastructures, Environmental Protection, and WASH.

Job Description:

Job Summary

The enumerators are responsible for interviewing individuals selected as per the sampling methodology. The enumerators will need to collect and record first-hand information and data from the community and have to make sure that the information is collected accurately, unbiased, and transparent.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work according to the program’s needs
  • Visit identified communities and conduct interviews by the methodology and tools;
  • Ensure responses are recorded accurately;
  • Enter data in devices/tablets;
  • Ensure timely submission of data;
  • Coordinate with the supervisor and report on daily work and problems or challenges encountered during fieldwork;
  • Ask questions clearly and kindly, and ask all the questions exactly as worded;
  • Probe to clarify unclear answers;
  • Double-check and revise the survey at the end of the survey to correct mistakes;
  • Revisit the site and repeat the interview/survey if your survey is rejected by the Union Aid team;
  • Other duties assigned by the field supervisor;

TRAINING

Before fieldwork; attend and actively participate in training;

Study and understand all instructions included in the questionnaire;

Get familiar with the Survey

Job Requirements:

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 12th-grade graduate
  • Good knowledge of research and conducting surveys
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience
  • Good understanding of the local situation and the community dynamics
  • Be able to interact with people from a variety of backgrounds
  • Be able to travel to other provinces and districts of Afghanistan if required
  • Good at verbal communication and should speak politely to the respondent/people
  • Be fluent in Dari and Pashto languages both written and verbal, familiarity with the English language will be an asset
