About HEWAD Reconstruction, Health & Humanitarian Assistance Committee:

HEWAD implements primary health care to needy people of Afghanistan, and within those focuses on the provision of health care to the most vulnerable group, children, and women. HEWAD provides perfect health education, information, and service to Afghans in order to improve their living conditions.

Job Description:

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Check and supervise HEWAD ongoing projects in the province.
  2. Make sure that the project is implemented according to the plan and budget constraint.
  3.  Prepare work plans for project implementation and reports.
  4. Provide technical and operational support to project and its staff.
  5. Provide regular updates on over all Mental health status in the province
  6. Work closely with the project staff for technical oversight and implementation
  7. Provide support to conduct Mental health trainings for staff
  8. Conducting Community Dialogue Camps
  9. Provide support in conducting Case Management Committee meetings
  10. Actively participate in all internal and external meetings relevant to the project and geographic area.

Coordination and Partnership:

  1. Conduct a mapping for the available of Mental health services providers in provinces/districts in liaison with other Mental health partners in the province/districts
  2. Contribute to the positive image and overall credibility of the organization, notably through the application of the organization’s Code of Conduct and Ethics.
  3. Liaises with partners (governmental and non-governmental) and represents HEWAD and in all coordination meetings and events;

Monitoring and Reporting Functions:

  1. Monitor the project activities at field level and document same to high standards;
  2. Regular monitor and report on functionality of PSCCs, WFHSs and Mobile psychosocial outreach team with focus on three domains: availability of technical staff; availability of functional equipment; and availability of pharmaceuticals.
  3. Ensure maintenance of information management systems for the indicators;
  4. Submit project data and figures as outlined in the project reporting matrix on biweekly basis
  5. Submit – on a timely basis – all required project reporting using weekly, monthly, quarterly, and mission and assessment reports

Financial:

  1. Monitors project expenditures and estimate monthly expenses of the project
  2. Be responsible for budget tracking and controlling pertaining to project;
  3. Maintain all financial records properly (hard copy and soft version);
  4. Shall verify all purchase requests and cash advances;
  5. Monthly reporting to Support Office related to finance section activities;
  6. To provide stationery and other necessary materials to the project team and other staff needed.
  7. Should purchase necessary items needed by project staff from petty cash and liquidate the amount in the proper time.

Administration/HR:

  1. Overall management of all project staff personnel record.
  2. Supervises the supports staff
  3. Prepares and maintains time sheets of all staff.
  4. Fill records and maintain the leave balance of all staff.

Job Requirements:

  1. University degree in Medical Science (MD).
  2. At least Three years of working experience in professional field.
  3. Strong interpersonal, communication and analysis skills.
  4. Advance computer skill of data collection, processing and analysis is essential and is must.
  5. Excellent communication skill in English and local languages (Pashto/Dari) is required.
  6. Ability and willingness to travel to rural locations in province.
  7. Ability to work alongside others under challenging conditions to meet the deadlines.
